I just had to write and let you know how pleased we are with how everything has gone so far. In the beginning we were apprehensive about having a house renovated in another state and by a builder we didn’t know. I was really concerned about how we were going to communicate our ideas and make sure they were being carried out. But I have to say that you have provided everything we asked for and then some. You listened carefully to our ideas and produced a plan that is way beyond our expectations. You have responded to all of our e-mails even with new drawings and plan updates.
You have made this a truly wonderful experience for both of us. Also, we were glad to hear that our friends we referred to you will begin construction soon. We love the house and feel like we’ve gained a friend.

‘We have a 70s multi-level home in The Gap – it has a great outlook into the trees but the back decks were aging and narrow, and the front entrance was looking very tired. I had a clear idea about the sort of renovations we wanted – but hadn’t found a sympathetic architect or builder. I found Bruce Parke by chance on the internet I soon found that he was somebody I could work with to develop the project. He listened to our ideas, came up with good solutions when needed – and then did all the drafting and managed approvals and personally worked on and oversaw the project. We employed Ascent Design and Builds to carry out the renovations on our house. This included designing and building an upper storey (three bedrooms and a bathroom) and major alterations to the downstairs living areas, kitchen and laundry.
We found the Company easy to communicate with, honest in its dealings and any concerns were dealt with efficiently and fairly. All the employees were pleasant, helpful and tidy. We were particularly pleased with the role the supervisors played: interacting with us and coordinating all the tradesmen required. The hassles of council approvals and any changes in specifications were dealt with smoothly.
